Welcome, I’m Renee Dwornitski, MA, LPC, CAADC
As social beings, we rely on relationships and connection for survival. Unfortunately, challenging life events can impact our ability and/or desire to connect with others, thus leaving us empty, fearful, angry, or insert any other unwanted emotion/thought here. In my practice, I use empathy, compassion, and a little humor to help challenge unwanted thoughts, navigate difficult experiences and foster resiliency. People have often described me as genuine, calming, and non-judgmental. I believe in a collaborative process where we work together to find what is going to the best fit for you. You can expect that I will join you in a journey of enlightenment, recovery and empowerment.
I graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lock Haven University and then obtained a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with a certification in Trauma Counseling from Arcadia University. Throughout the past 10+ years, I have worked in a variety of settings including: CRR/Crisis residential unit, inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol programs, and home-based community programs. I have work in many roles: blended case manager, mobile psych rehabilitation specialist, therapist, and clinical supervisor. Throughout these experiences, I have been fortunate to help and support diverse populations with varying challenges.
Please feel free to reach out for a free consultation and we can see if I am the right fit for you!
